You may know, you may not - Andrej (AKA The Pallet God) is Serbian!
The Republic of Serbia is a landlocked country in Central Europe and is a country rich in history and Balkan stories. One of the best things about Serbia? THE FOOD! Our family favourites are burek and cevapi.
Burek is made of layers of light buttered pastry, traditionally filled with meat or cheese. There are bakeries everywhere in Serbia serving this classic dish. It is traditional to eat it with a glass of yogurt.
Cevapi are like mini fried sausages served in a flatbread with onions and kaymak (a creamy spread like clotted cream). You can find it in takeaways all over Serbia. A tip when you order - get a ten or a half ten!
